The Institute originated from a small group of friends which came together in 2004 to study the Gospel According to Spiritism. Along the way, more people reached out to the group to understand our belief in man’s spiritual evolution (through inner transformation in successive reincarnations), the relationship between material and spiritual worlds, and how love can help us overcome our limitations and ultimately lead us to perfection. As more people joined, the space seemed smaller. The need to find a new location where more people could be welcomed was clear. Today the space is open to all who would like to be a part of it. The institute aims to benefit not only those involved with the doctrine but the whole community.
Everything at AKSI is performed solely by volunteers, and its existence is maintained through donations of friends and participants.
